Our History

In 1984, Ravi Kumar came to America, like his brothers before him. He started his life in North Carolina and learned the family flooring business. He met his wife and had a son, and in 1997 his young family moved to Northwest Arkansas, where he started Abbey Carpet & Floor in Rogers. In 2006, the store moved to Bentonville, and in 2018 moved into its brand new showroom.

With over 34 years of residential and commercial flooring experience, and over 21 years serving Northwest Arkansas, Ravi places the customer as his first priority, and strives to do whatever it takes for their satisfaction, even and especially when it is inconvenient. Abbey Carpet & Floor, like Ravi’s own family, is part of Northwest Arkansas’ past and future. Some of Abbey’s local projects have been Downtown Bentonville’s Midtown Center, Bentonville West High School, the 8W Center, TheatreSquared, the new Cross Church, the Tri Delta and Chi Omega sorority houses at the University of Arkansas, Mercy Physician Plaza, and the soon-to-open Blake Street House social club in Downtown Bentonville.
